Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering Careers
With significant capital investment underway across all Life Science sectors in Ireland (Pharma, Biotech & Medical Device) the demand for experienced E&I Engineering professionals has never been higher. This demand is also being driven by the move towards Industry 4.0, the current trend of automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies. It includes cyber-physical systems, the Internet of things and cloud computing which creates what is being called the “smart factory”. From the factory floor to the MES [manufacturing execution system] level, Biopharma manufacturers need real-time accessible data to support proactive, rather than reactive, decision-making when it comes to process control, production scheduling, diagnostics, and maintenance.
The future Biotech smart factory will include high levels of automation, instrumentation, complex process parameter monitoring and control and real time data analysis and management. With this trend towards automated computer controlled process management there is a focus on reliability, data integrity, calibration and smart instruments.
Across the sector there is a demand for professionals with Energy management and power usage reduction experience using accurate energy performance measurement standards and protocols to deliver tangible energy, cost and environmental savings.
Today LSC work with leading Irish and multinational clients to resource their E&I Engineering needs. We are always looking for E&I project professionals with experience in process related industries.
