Irish unemployment levels are continuing to drop and are now approaching 2008 levels and beating the forecasts for 2016. The increasing employment levels are very evident to all those working in the life sciences market, but its great to see that elsewhere the Irish market in general is seeing significant job creation and growth and dropping unemployment levels.
Youth unemployment (i.e job seekers under 25 years) is now at 15%, which is a remarkable drop from the high of 31% jut four years ago in June 2012. We are hearing about some third level courses where the 2016 graduating class is 90% recruited before they sit final exams (where the job offer may be tied to final exam results).
