Job Description

Senior Engineer required by a multinational medical device company based in Cork. The Cork facility is a global centre for product development, manufacturing and supply chain. The product & process innovation centre on site is a global strategic investment based on the skills and capabilities of the Cork staff. The site employs over 1000 persons and operates as a fast paced, innovative and highly collaborative international team. In this new role the Senior Engineer will:
o Effectively manage the facilities EHS and Compliance programs for Site management.
o Support the planning, conducts and directs engineering projects or studies including complete projects.
o Applies comprehensive and diverse knowledge of Facilities engineering principles and practices within broad assignment areas.

Responsibilities:
o Proactively manages the Facilities safety program.
o Manages the facilities maintenance in order to ensure compliance and contribute to an optimum work environment.
o Ensures preventive maintenance of building utilities and machinery, manufacturing systems, mechanical and electromechanical equipment, and provides laboratory support through the use of BCP and PMO programs .
o Creates and drives priorities and timelines for project completion while working to control costs, expenses, and manage to budgets.
o Presents finalized procedures in defined formats for document control and diligently verifies files and records for historical purposes.
o Provides criteria and performance specifications for facilities and equipment required to meet unique operating requirements and building and safety codes.
o Conducts incident investigations and documents outcomes.

The Senior Engineer requires:
o Technical qualification in Engineering preferably Marine.
o Proven knowledge and experience with G.M.P. or similar quality system.
o CAD systems (preferable AutoCAD).
o Proven track record in Facilities Safety and Compliance within industry and project management.
