LSC have a requirement for a EHS Specialist to join a leading biotech company based in Cork. For more than 25 years this company has been a global leader in the field of biomedicines, in particular pioneering monoclonal antibody technology a cutting-edge approach to producing medicines that launched a new generation of products to treat immune related diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and plaque psoriasis.
The EHS Specialist will be responsible for:
o Ensure all EHSS requirements and standards are in place at commissioning and handover phases. o Support the company ‘EHS by design’ process, HAZOP action closure tracking, ATEX reviews, Machine Safety, JSA’s, Chemical Risk Assessments, Noise, IH/Ergonomics etc.
o Oversee EHS aspects of SAT, commissioning, start-up and final handover.
o Complete Pre-Start-up Safety Reviews (PSSR’s) on all process and equipment during client walk downs. o Ensure any EHSS critical actions are closed prior to handover or the introduction of hazardous energies or materials into the system.
o Ensure any handover over project, process or equipment is 100% audit ready to regulatory and company standards.
The EHS Specialist will require:
o A relevant third level qualification in Science, Engineering or EHS, with at least 5 years’ experience in the environment, health and safety area is a prerequisite for the position.
o Good overall knowledge of legal requirements and best practices in both Environment and Safety
o Previous experience in dealing with regulatory agencies
o Previous experience in carrying out Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment
