Injection Moulding Engineer required for a leading medical device company based in Limerick. The companies FDA regulated Limerick facility has grown consistently over the last 20 years to become one of the most important sites in its global operations. This facility specialises in the production of disposable contact lenses in a state of the art operation which includes injection moulding, robotics, vision systems and sterilisation systems in a Class 100,000 cleanroom environment. The facility has over 50 fully automated manufacturing lines and the product is untouched by a human hand from start to finish of the process.

Excellent opportunity for an Injection Moulding Engineer with responsibility for:
o Production Support and maintenance activities
o Lead quality improvement and cost reduction projects.
o Participate as a project manager and/or key team member in projects requiring input from the Injection Molding Engineering team.
o Ensure that manufacturing engineering activities are carried out according to company operating procedures, and that a high level of productivity and quality is achieved and maintained.
o Ensure that all activities carried out are compliant with Vision Care Ireland quality system requirements.
o Source and install new equipment and processes to enable the achievement of optimum levels of Quality, Cost & Cycle Time

The Injection Moulding Engineer requires:
o Primary Degree in Engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
Desirable
o High level of experience in mechanical and electrical systems
o Knowledge and experience of high volume injection molding equipment and processes.
o Medium to high volume automation experience pneumatics, pick and place, vision systems, robotics and ideally including PLC/Controls
