Job Description

Data Historian Automation Engineer required for an innovative and rapidly growing Biopharmaceutical company in Limerick. The new facility is close to completion and is responsible for the production, packaging, labelling and delivery of biopharmaceutical medicines for global markets. The company currently markets medicines for various diseases and has a rich pipeline of products.

The Data Historian Automation Engineer responsibilities:
o Perform the administration, change, configuration, integration, maintenance, programming, and qualification of assigned Historical Data Systems and SQL Databases in a GMP regulated manufacturing environment.
o Maintain assigned GMP automation systems in a current, secure, and validated state in accordance with the company standards, including all regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
o Support site manufacturing, safety, quality, and environmental automation and related information needs.
o Install, maintain, and inspect control system and client-server installations throughout the facility.
o Inspect and review process automation installations for design and troubleshooting purposes.
o Perform periodic evaluation reports on system operation.

The Data Historian Automation Engineer will require:
o Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technological field and 3+ years of relevant work experience.
o Historian System configuration, qualification, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
o Expertise using Microsoft office and project management tools (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Project) required.
o Ability to understand and update P&ID’s and automation design specifications.
o High level of technical expertise in and experience with computer and instrumentation troubleshooting, problem solving, and maintenance.
